As officially announced the Greek Society for the Protection of Nature, beaches in Chania distinguished Blue Flag is:

MUNICIPALITY APOKORONOU: Maistrali, Kalyves Xyda, Kyani Akti, Kavros, Perastikos.
MUNICIPALITY KISAMOU: Falassarna.
Municipality of Platanias: Platanias, Platanias Limanaki, Kolympari.
Municipality of Chania: Stalos, Agii Apostoli 1, Agii Apostoli 2, Chryssi Akti (golden beach), Agia Marina Kalamaki, Nea Chora, Marathi, Cross, St. Onoufrios, Kalathas.

As stated in the Greek Society for the Protection of Nature (HSPN), “with 393 Blue Flag beaches, Greece is again, like last year, the second in the world among 49 countries. The International Jury awarded this year 3,103 beaches and 626 marinas worldwide. Becomes effort, in cooperation with relevant government agencies to increase the number of Greek-winning marina. ”
Also noted that “the” Blue Flag “is an international symbol of quality, considered the best-known environmental symbol in the world.
